A Project by Anush Hamzehian and Vittorio Mortarotti

Anush Hamzehian is the son of an Iranian refugee. He was conceived in Tabriz in 1979, the year of the Islamic Revolution, during the last journey his parents took to Iran.

In March 2014, we decided to get as close as possible to the country. We spent a month on the narrow border between Armenia and Iran, exploring the claustrophobic nature and violence of this border town as a metaphor for all frontiers.
